Moose Jaw Co-op is hiring a permanent full-time Accounting Manager at our Administration Office located in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

What you will do:
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Manager will lead and perform general accounting activities through the analysis and preparation of financial reports and statements. This includes the preparation of journal entries/ledgers, fixed asset and inventory accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, reconciliation, and/or financial statement consolidation.  Provide guidance and oversight on all aspects of monthly and quarterly reporting including consolidation and allocations, analysis, and reporting. Ensure relevant and reliable financial information is available to company decision makers in a timely manner. Support the management of external financial reporting including analysis, liaising with external auditors, and preparing required analysis. Provide technical expertise and guidance to more junior staff, ensuring quality in technical accounting work.

Qualifications include but are not limited to:
    A CPA Designation
    Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience
b.    Full cycle accounting experience, preferably in an a multi division retail organization
c.    Year end audit file preparation, including liaising with external auditors
d.    Assessing and implementing internal controls
    Experience with budgeting
    Experience with commodity taxes (GST, PST, LCT, Fuel Taxes)
    Strong computer knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel.
    Strong professional judgement, leadership, analytical skills and problem solving skills
