Ensure proper placement, connections, and setup for both household and business electronic devices.
Maintenance:
Regularly inspect electronic equipment for signs of wear, damage, or malfunction.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting components to ensure optimal performance.
Replace worn-out parts or components as needed to prevent further damage or failure.
Keep detailed maintenance records to track the history of each piece of equipment.
Repair:
Diagnose faults in electronic equipment by using various testing instruments like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic probes.
Locate faulty circuits, components, or assemblies causing the malfunction.
Repair or replace defective parts following equipment manuals, schematics, and industry best practices.
Utilize soldering tools and other hand and power tools to perform repairs accurately and safely.
Testing and Inspection:
Conduct thorough testing of repaired or maintained equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Use electronic test instruments to verify voltage, current, frequency, and other relevant parameters.
Inspect the overall condition of equipment to identify potential issues or areas needing attention.
Documentation:
Complete detailed work orders, including descriptions of tasks performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
Prepare test and maintenance reports summarizing findings, repairs made, and recommendations for future maintenance or upgrades.
Supervision
If in a supervisory role, oversee the work of other electronic equipment service technicians.
Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure that repairs and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
