Job Description: The Registered Nurse is accountable for the provision of safe client care. They provide direct client care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Direct and indirect nursing care and services are provided in the following areas: pediatrics, medicine, critical care, palliation, surgery, post anesthesia care,
obstetrics, operating room, emergency, outpatient, and Central Processing and Distribution, gerintology (LTC Nursing).

Required Qualifications

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Current BCLS certification
Perioperative Nursing/Registered Nurses - Advanced Certificate or equivalent
Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to conduct assessments, prioritize client needs, and develop treatment plans to meet needs regarding treatment with a client and family-centered approach to care
Demonstrates commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Demonstrates good communication skills with clients, peers, interdisciplinary team members, physicians and related departments.
Develops, maintains and operationalizes clinical work standards and SHA policies & procedures
Effective problem solving skills
Leadership skills
Strong communication skills (written and verbal); Ability to document in a concise and timely manner
Strong computer skills
Team oriented with ability to be flexible in a dynamic environment
