Job Description: The EMT will respond to calls for service as per dispatch instructions, providing assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons.  The EMT will cover standby assignment, as operations require.
Required Qualifications

Clean Driver's Abstract
CMA accredited Pre-Hospital Care Program at the Primary Care Paramedic (PCP/EMT/ICP/EMT-A) level
Health Care Provider Level C Certification (HCP-C)
International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) - Basic
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at the PCP/EMT level
Valid Class 4 drivers license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to communicate with and maintain an effective working relationship with clients from diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds
Communication skills
Interpersonal skills
Other Information

Must be able to respond to the ambulance within 10 minutes when on-call
Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.

This position may be eligible for incentives from the Town of Macklin. Incentives offered will be in relation to accommodations, living allowances, and travel expenses. Incentive amounts offered will be discussed with applicants, on a case by case basis, and a Return for Service agreement may be arranged.
