Description

North Fringe Industrial Technologies Inc. is expanding our Dredging and Dewatering Crew with seasonal positions, subject to project demands. Typically, schedules involve 10-12hr days on-site for 2 weeks, with one week off. Exceptional candidates may transition to full-time roles.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

Travel and stay on-site for extended periods; accommodations and meals provided.
Operate cutter-head dredge and diesel engine pumps.
Prepare sites for dredging/dewatering jobs.
Ensure safe equipment operation, maintain radio contact with lead man.
Conduct routine inspections, assist in maintenance/repairs as directed.
Operate workboat with outboard motor.
Work independently or as part of a team under minimal supervision.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Safety Training preferred; valid boating certificate required.
First Aid Training beneficial.
Proficiency in hand tools and small power tools.
Experience with pumps and machinery.
Adaptable in unsupervised or team settings.
Mechanical/technical aptitude.
Capable of working in varied conditions, including around water.
Basic logging and documentation skills.
Availability for extended, shift, and weekend hours.
Physical capability for climbing, balancing, stooping, lifting.

Qualifications and Experience:

Trade or Technical schooling considered a plus.
Minimum 1 year heavy machinery operation experience.
Welding and torch cutting skills desirable.
Comfort working outdoors in hands-on environments.
General labor experience: minimum 1 year.
