Description

Responsibilities:
-Various projects of mechanical and structural discipline - may include small electrical and instrumentation scopes
-Assist in planning of construction/installation activities, including:
o Logistics
o Resource requirements
o Lift plans/rigging plans
-Support and manage project material handling
o Material delivery to site and storage
o Identify, create and manage material laydown areas
-Assist project managers to develop construction work packages (CWPs) and develop installation scopes of work (SOWs)
-Manage all QA/QC requirements
-Verify as-built mark-ups
-Manage contractors at site:
o Participate in daily tool box talks
o Review and enforce the job risk analysis processes
o Participate in incident investigations
o Maintain and provide a Daily Log of all field activities including but not limited to:
~ Quarter-daily workface conditions
~ Verification of progress and compliance
~ Verification of safe working conditions and housekeeping
~ Identify coordination issues and mitigation strategies for resolution
-Adhere to and successfully execute requirements of the OCI Contractor Manager Program
-Oil sample collection and reviewing results
-Vibration data collection and reviewing results

Skills and Qualifications:
-A qualified industrial tradesman with an inter-provincial ticket or post-secondary education (degree, diploma, or certificate) is preferred but all applicants with applicable experience will be considered
-5+ years of project management experience is required
-Demonstrated experience managing contractors and/or construction is required
-Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience

Work Location & Schedule:
-McClean Lake site
-14 days in and 14 days out rotating schedule
-Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside or normal working hours may be required
