Facility: ROYAL UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Job Description: The incumbent provides clinical assistance to anaesthetists, as well as calibrating, troubleshooting and performing repairs on anaesthetic equipment, as required, at all acute care facilities.  Individuals in this position have a blended reporting relationship, reporting administratively to the manager, cardio-respiratory services (i.e. payroll, professional issues), financially to the manager of nursing - operating room (i.e. direct purchase authorization, inventory additions/deletions) and receives clinical direction from the department of anaesthesia.
Required Qualifications

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Anaesthesia Diploma
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Respiratory Therapist (S.C.R.T) or with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.  HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.
