Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and preparing various financial reports and statements.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the full cycle of bookkeeping activities, including recording transactions, posting journal entries, and reconciling accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Prepare trial balances, maintain general ledgers, and generate accurate financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) on a timely basis.
- Calculate and process payroll, ensuring accurate computation of wages, deductions, and taxes.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including issuing checks for utility bills, taxes, and other expenses, as well as processing incoming payments.
- Complete and submit required tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, pension contribution forms, and other government documents.
- Prepare individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Generate other statistical, financial, and accounting reports as required by management or external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in bookkeeping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and relevant regulations.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field (preferred) OR
Courses in Accounting with 3-5+ years of relevant experience
