Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced roofer to join our team. As a roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of roofing systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of roofing materials, techniques, and safety protocols. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Install new roofing systems according to specifications and industry standards.
Inspect roofs for damage, leaks, and other issues requiring repair.
Repair damaged roofing materials, including shingles, and flashing.
Replace or reinforce roofing materials as needed.
Apply waterproofing materials and sealants to protect roofs from water damage.
Clean and maintain roofing tools and equipment.
Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with clients when necessary.
Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used and hours worked.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a roofer, with a minimum of 1 year in the field.
Proficient knowledge of various asphalt shingles.
Ability to safely operate roofing equipment, including ladders, nailers, and power tools.
Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to roofing work.
Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Willingness to undergo additional training and certifications as required.
