Other assigned duties include wildland fire prevention and mitigation activities, delivery of wildland training, site development and maintenance, and other projects / duties as required.

The successful candidate will typically have gained knowledge of wildfire suppression techniques, firefighting equipment, and fire behavior through experience or training.
The successful candidate must possess and maintain a valid class 5 or greater drivers license; complete a health evaluation according to SPSA policies/guidelines and meet the Type 1 Wildland Fire Fighter WFX-FIT Canadian physical performance standard prior to hire, and annually thereafter.
