Description

The City of Moose Jaw is looking for individuals to who can assist in providing relief to our full-time staff on an as needed basis. Duties would include performing various duties related to the cleaning of various City buildings/facilities under the direction of the Facilities & Buildings Supervisor the Cleaner, such duties include:

-    Vacuuming; dusting light fixtures, walls, bookshelves, books, counters, etc.
-    washing walls, doors and windows (inside & out)
-    sweeping, mopping, waxing and polishing floors
-    cleaning fixtures and bathrooms
-    emptying garbage
-    shampooing carpets, seats and chairs
-    May assist with snow removal and sanding as required
-    maintaining pleasant and harmonious relations with the public and co-workers

Qualified candidates will possess:
-    Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
-    Experience with and knowledge of cleaning materials and equipment
-    Ability to physically perform unassisted lifting up to 50 lbs
-    WHMIS Training and Certification
-    Ability to work shift work and work without direct supervision
