POSITION PURPOSE SUMMARY:
The Summer Day Camp Worker will provide leadership and interactive support in the daily activities of our summer day camp program ensuring that children are constantly and consistently supervised, supported and included in games and other activities.
The incumbent will work within a team to ensure that children are safe and cared for in accordance with The Salvation Army mission, values, and standards.
Accountabilities:
1. General
Assist with the implementation of a weekly summer day camp program targeted at children ages 6  11.
Provide interactive, hands-on support for activities, games and crafts.
Provide constant and consistent supervision of children.
Assist with leadership training opportunities for youth volunteers.
2. Program
Plan and execute games, crafts and activities for campers.
Support meal and snack preparation, serving and clean up.
Provide constant supervision and care during community outings.
Provide daily set up and clean up.
3. Health and Safety
Maintain safety practices in compliance with health and safety standards.
