Primary Function:
The Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN) is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Researcher/Analyst II within the Treaty Governance Office department. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing technical capabilities to identify, evaluate research, develop, and analyze issues for the Treaty Governance Office (TGO) in its mandate on the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) Act. Develop First Nations resource materials including presentations that supports and enhances the ongoing awareness for First Nations in Saskatchewan in relation to UNDRIP. Provide written documentation for briefings, updates, and forward planning to support the Executive Director of TGO. Areas can include resource materials, legislation, and policy.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:
Manage projects and deliverables.
Works independently with minimal direct supervision.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, and significant knowledge of issues impacting First Nations as well as First Nations governance structures and process in Saskatchewan.
