Job Description: As a member of Mental Health and Addiction Services, the incumbent is an integral member of the multidisciplinary team in Emergency Services and on the Community Recovery Team. The incumbent represents Mental Health and Addiction Services to the public and to agencies by providing information, intake assessment, crisis response services, referral, consultation, research and education. Responsibilities include direct patient care, use of assessment tools, screening, crisis intervention, referral, short term case management, counselling, goal planning and consultation in the Emergency Department and other areas of the hospital.
Experience:
Requires 5 years' full-time experience in Acute Psychiatric Nursing, Forensic Nursing or Community Mental Health nursing experience.
Experience in the previous 5 years in dealing with individuals with acute and chronic psychiatric disorder.
Experience in the previous 5 years in psychiatric assessment and intervention required.
Experience working as a member of a multidisciplinary team in a mental health setting preferred.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Nursing or Bachelor Degree in Psychiatric Nursing
Current licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) or RPNAS
