Ground Effects Group of Companies is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its administrative team.

The Position:
We are seeking a highly motivated and hardworking individual to fill the role of a Senior Accountant. Working side by side with the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Accountant will play an important role in financial reporting and business operations within our Accounting and Administration department. Our duties involve all aspects of the accounting cycle, account reconciliations, reporting and analysis of company financial benchmarks, cash flow, and continuous improvement of the Company's procedures and reporting systems.

Duties And Responsibilities:
1. Overall daily accounting operations, providing direction to other staff on effective accounting processes and best practices.
2. Providing company-wide business analysis tools related to the creation and maintenance of financial records and the production of reports relevant to the key metrics of the company.
3. Preparing financial statements and recording all inter-company transactions properly.
4. The accuracy and completeness of all month end, year end and interim financial reporting.
5. The production of the annual budget and required forecasts, as well as reporting on the monthly progress compared to established budgets.
6. The accuracy and completeness of all provincial and federal tax and payroll regulatory filing requirements.
7. Payroll processing, employee benefits administration
8. Provide support to other departments as required
9. Manage projects as they arise.

We require an individual who is working towards or has obtained the CPA accounting designation. Prior experience in a similar role is a definite asset. This is an excellent opportunity for accountants with a strong business sense who are keen to use and apply their expertise beyond the reporting role to help support the company's goals and objectives.
