Our non profit that assists senior citizens to remain living in their own homes is looking for an EXPERIENCED handyman. You must have your own hand and power tools and be experienced in safe use of them. A variety of tasks, including painting, cutting grass, trimming bushes, planting and trimming trees, rototill, help plant gardens, clean eavestrough. Install doors and shelves, and assemble furniture.
Must be able to do walk-through assessments and prepare cost estimates
Perform basic repairs (e.g., wall damage, broken windows)
Complete general maintenance work. Knowledge of basic carpentry, trades, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repair.
Lift, load, unload tools and equipment. Coordinate service with customers and handle complaints professionally
Accurately log hours and write reports.
Manage job details, review daily tasks, and follow up with customers.
You will also supervise and train volunteers and student volunteers.
Must have your own vehicle or trailer that can haul lumber, lawn mowers, gas cans, tools, etc. Have your own tools. Some work is out of town. You may fix wood and barbwire fence, do other carpentry repairs on farms as well. Our work days are Monday to Friday. You have some flexibility during that time to choose your hours. This is a part time position that could work to full time for the summer months. Retired persons are welcome to apply. MUST BE FLUENT IN ENGLISH.
