The Ministry works with citizens as they build better lives for themselves through economic independence, strong families and strong community organizations.

Community Living Service Delivery is seeking a highly motivated and task-oriented individual to fill the position of Program Development Consultant in Saskatoon.

As part of the Clinical Prevention Services Unit, you will be responsible for behavioural assessments; development, implementation and evaluation of behavioural programming; as well as providing consultation, education and training to government, community-based organizations, service providers and families. You will have the ability to provide proactive solutions to address complex and challenging behaviours to enhance the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities. You will be required to reconcile divergent views and interests and work towards mutually acceptable solutions with a strong ethical and client-centred approach. This position may be exposed to the risk of violent situations.

Typically, the knowledge and skills for this position will have been gained and demonstrated through a bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education Psychology, Social Work or a related degree in the Human Service Field. Several years of post-academic experience in the development and/or delivery of therapeutic, educative, rehabilitative, behavioural or clinical services, as well as experience working in a therapeutic capacity with people with intellectual disabilities would be considered an asset. A valid driver's license is required as travel will be necessary.
