Description

The Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented individual to provide administrative support to the Executive Director of the Lands Branch. If you are well-organized and thorough in your work, enjoy working effectively in a high-pressure environment and are confident in responding to public inquiries both in person and over the telephone, this position will be of interest to you.

In this role, you will provide leadership to the branch as part of the management team, provide supervision as required, and coordinate administrative service delivery and issue management to ensure client service and program effectiveness are maximized.

You will plan, schedule and organize meetings and events, which includes recording meeting minutes and coordinating travel and event logistics. You will also be responsible for managing the Executive Directors calendar and maintaining a bring forward system to ensure deadlines are met.

You will be responsible for ensuring the branch files comply with policies pertaining to government records.

Our candidate of choice must have excellent organization skills to coordinate and process correspondence and ensure responses are completed in a timely manner. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required to resolve issues on a daily basis. You will be responsible for providing leadership and advice to other staff within the ministry on government processes and standards.

Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through formal education and extensive experience in a senior administrative position.
