Description

We are currently recruiting for an Executive Assistant to work as part of a team dedicated to the treatment and success of youth in our care.  Reporting to the Executive Director, the Executive Assistant provides professional administrative support to the Board of Directors, Executive Director, and Managers to support operating efficiency. The role accomplishes this through a respectful, constructive, and energetic style, guided by the mission and values of WBTC.

The Executive Assistants duties and responsibilities include:
- Prepare, proofread, maintain, and file documents;
- Pick-up, review, sort and distribute mail and packages;
- Organize and prepare for meetings, including gathering and distributing documents and attending to the logistics of the meeting; - Reconciling and administering accounts payable in the absence of the Finance Manager;
- Perform Administrative Assistant duties in the absence of the Administrative Assistant; and
- Other duties as assigned.

The minimal qualifications for this position are a Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of directly related work experience or a Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration or Management and one (1) of directly related work experience.

Additional requirements include Excellent professional written and oral communication skills with a keen eye for detail; Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships; Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask while maintaining efficiency and accuracy; Trustworthy, able to act with discretion and maintain confidentiality; Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; Basic understanding of updating a website; Proactive approach to problem solving with strong decision-making skills; A valid class 5 driver's license and a reliable means of getting to work; Ability to provide a clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector check.
