Description

The Information Technology Division (ITD) of the Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement (SBP) supplies a full range of IT services to government ministries and agencies. It supports government customers with help desk, hardware and software, application development and IT security services.

The Application Portfolio Management (APM) team provides the day-to-day operations, governance and support for application data, processes and reporting in support of application lifestyle management while leading and driving a customer-focused, practical, and secure culture throughout the team to deepen client relationships and leverage systems and knowledge. The APM team strives to develop strong partnerships with peers, technology leads and leaders across ITD/SBP in order to manage application risk and investment as they are accountable for delivering the vision and strategy for the APM roadmap.  

The Citizen-Centric Program Delivery branch within ITD is actively seeking an effective communicator and cross-team collaborator for the role of Senior Planner, and Application Portfolio Manager. Reporting to the Director of Application Service Delivery, you will be responsible for directing the team in supporting and executing enterprise strategies related to the application portfolio.  

Typically, the knowledge and experience required to be successful in this role is obtained through:  

- A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or another related field; a combination of education and work experience will be considered.
- 10-15 years of experience in the IT business industry, preferably in application portfolio management and/or product management, as well as 3-5 years experience managing teams and projects.
- TOGAF and/or planning certifications would be an asset.
- Experience in leadership roles and managing projects.
