Description

Local 1985 is looking is seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Superintendent in the Yorkton region. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. As a Site Superintendent, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of skilled professionals while maintaining a high level of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
-Manage and supervise on-site construction activities, including carpentry, formwork, and other scopes as required.
-Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects.
-Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all personnel.
-Monitor project progress and quality, identifying and addressing any issues or challenges that may arise.
-Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to review project status, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
-Manage project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders.
-Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve conflicts and maintain positive relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
-Ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on-site supervision.
-Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
-Extensive knowledge of carpentry, formwork, and other construction methods and techniques in an industrial setting.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
