The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authoritys Cannabis Licensing and Inspector Branch is seeking an experienced and self-motivated individual to join its team as a permanent full-time Cannabis Licensing Inspector.
The position will report to the Manager, Cannabis Inspections and Integrity. Working in cannabis regulation, the Inspector liaises with permitted establishments to promote and ensure compliance with provincial requirements and expectations with respect to the sale and distribution of cannabis. This will be accomplished using a variety of strategies, including as appropriate, education, inspections and investigations. Inspectors will conduct interviews and review financial information, criminal and compliance histories, and a variety of other information to detect irregularities and identify risks. Inspectors may take statements from complainants and witnesses as well as prepare reports to record compliance history to support the sanction process. Inspectors provide educational support to permittees, other enforcement agencies, and the general public. Inspectors are required to serve legal documents and testify in court or before the Liquor and Gaming Commission if necessary.
