Morris Equipment Ltd is a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of air seeding, tillage, and hay hauling equipment.
We are recruiting to fill a full time R&D Technician/Welding Fixtures Technician to join our team in our Research and Development team in our Yorkton, Saskatchewan location.
YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Responsible for the fabrication of welding fixtures which will produce product tolerances required on the engineering drawings.
    Manufacture, as directed, component parts accurately and precisely from engineering drawings.
    Read and understand work orders, primary drawings and blueprints use in production.  
    Possess a good working knowledge of the functions and operations of all machinery in the welding fixtures department, including general maintenance of machines.
    Weld with a good knowledge of welding and its application.
    Manufacture component parts accurately and precisely from engineering drawings.
    Have a good knowledge and understanding of metal fabrication and the application of fabricated equipment.
    Work with customers in a professional and courteous manner when testing equipment.
    Develop a good knowledge and understanding of metal fabrications and the application of fabricated equipment.
    Develop a good knowledge on the use of various tools, including hydraulic presses, hydraulic shears, iron workers, drill presses, lathes, and milling machines.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
    Grade XII education or relevant experience with at least two years experience in welding or fixture fabrication.
    Knowledge of agriculture products, especially Morris products preferred.
    Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
    Valid Saskatchewan class 5 drivers license.
    Excellent oral and written communication skills.
