Job Description: Reporting to the Program Manager of Community Recovery Team and as part of the multidisciplinary Rapid Access Addictions Medicine Team, the Community Mental Health Nurse-RAAM provides a complex range of nursing/counseling services including screening, triage, assessment, treatment, case coordination and harm reduction services to clients presenting to the RAAM Clinic
The incumbent works collaboratively with providers, internal and external to the RAAM Clinic including primary health care (SHA/BRT6), addictions medicine specialists , community recovery team, mental health addictions, Psychiatry, emergency departments , detox facilities, hospitals, pharmacies and a broad range of community agencies and partners. The incumbent utilizes a biopsychosocial model to provide direct service provision as well as program consultation and co-ordination, evaluation of clinical interventions, supervision, preceptorship students in formal clinical practicum, provides professional and public education and acts as resource regarding mental health and addiction issues and resources as required. The incumbent will provide nursing leadership and clinical expertise in the development and maintenance of the RAAM clinic and ensure nursing practice standards are maintained.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) or Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS)
Required Qualifications Continued: A minimum of two years recent recognized clinical experience in community based mental health/ addictions and/or harm reduction setting is r
