Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technologist/Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our road construction projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities:
Quality Inspection: Conduct comprehensive inspections of materials, equipment, and construction processes at various project sites to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Perform testing and analysis of construction materials such as aggregates, asphalt, concrete, and soil to verify compliance with quality requirements and specifications. Maintain accurate records of all quality control activities, including test results, inspection reports, and documentation of non-conformance issues. Prepare detailed reports for project management and regulatory authorities as required.
Monitor and evaluate construction processes, including grading, paving, and compaction, to identify any deviations from specifications and recommend corrective actions as necessary. Ensure that testing equipment and instruments are properly calibrated and maintained in accordance with industry standards. Identify and address any equipment malfunctions or discrepancies to prevent inaccuracies in testing results. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to implement quality assurance procedures and initiatives aimed at improving overall project performance and efficiency. Stay informed about relevant regulatory requirements, standards, and best practices related to quality control in road construction. Ensure that all activities comply with applicable regulations and permit conditions.
