Prairie Smoke & Spice BBQ is a growing food service business with operations all over Western Canada. We are National and World BBQ Champions.

Our Regina-based catering business is mature with lots of room to grow.   We are looking for an experienced cook to learn about BBQ and grow with us in all areas of our businesses.  We have just completed construction of our brand new commercial kitchen and BBQ studio space.     We pay well for experience and attitude!

POSITION TITLE:  BBQ Cook
POSITION TYPE:   Seasonal full time (through December 2024)

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for someone to help with food prep and cooking for our Championship BBQ catering business.  This person will assist with catering jobs, large public vending events, operate our food truck, and perform miscellaneous maintenance tasks.  

DUTIES
- Food Prep and cooking for offsite catering and food truck  this includes all meats, side dishes, and desserts
- Work food truck during lunch service and private catering events.
- Maintain our reputation for Championship-quality food and excellent customer service
- Keep kitchen, smokers, and work environment in clean and organized condition

QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of kitchen line cook or chef experience
- Valid Drivers licence
- A passion for grilling / barbecue is desired but not mandatory
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with customers and other team members.
- Energetic, Flexible, high level of initiative
- Genuine passion to provide extraordinary customer service
- Safe Food Handling certification
