You will provide a range of services designed to provide protective, preventative and support services to children and their families using The Family Centered Case Management Model of practice.
In this position, you will be responsible for investigating allegations of neglect, physical or sexual abuse, and assessing family functioning determining risk factors to the children's safety, implementing intervention plans and providing support services to the family, as required.
Children placed in care on a long-term basis will necessitate long-term care and planning. This process often includes working in cooperation with First Nation Child and Family Service agencies. You will be required to travel, work flexible hours in the evening and on weekends, and transport children (and parents) in service delivery.
While the representation of Indigenous staff within the Ministry of Social Services has been prioritized, all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.

As part of the Ministry of Social Services recruitment strategy, a short-term retention payment may be offered to the successful, permanent candidate who meets the eligible criteria. In addition, relocation expenses to move to the community of Nipawin for this position may be considered, as per policy, to the successful candidate.
