Description

The Provincial Capital Commission (PCC) provides enhanced visitor experiences and educational programming in Wascana Centre and at the Government House to inspire pride in Saskatchewan's Capital City. The Provincial Capital Commissions strategic focus is to enhance the quality of life in the Capital city by creating community partnerships, promoting visitor experiences, and providing stewardship of the land and assets managed. We are looking to add a self-motivated, client and team-orientated individual with a strong attention to detail to our team as an Accounting Clerk. Reporting to the Finance Manager of Finance, the successful candidate will be flexible to successfully adapt to changing work environments, processes, and workloads.

As the Accounting Clerk, you will:

- Perform accounts payable functions, including audit accounts payable invoices and requests for payment by verifying codes, calculations, totals, signing authorities, payee information and ensuring supporting documents are attached before submitting invoices to Central Accounts Payable;
- Perform revenue and accounts receivable functions, including maintaining accounts receivable records as required and reviewing information to ensure correct before preparing and issuing customer invoices, collecting revenues, issuing receipts, maintaining charitable donation receipts and records, and performing collection activities on delinquent accounts;
- Develop and implement procedures to improve accounting processes, contributing to the development and maintenance of internal operating procedures as required; and much more!

Qualifications:  

- Know applicable accounting principles and procedures; and
- Qualified applicants would typically have an Accounting Certificate or equivalent experience.
