Job Description: UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE SENIOR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST, THE STAFF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST ASSISTS CHILDREN IN MAXIMIZING THEIR POTENTIAL FOR DEVELOPMENT AND THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE BY PROVIDING ASSESSMENT, TREATMENT AND CONSULTATION.  THE STAFF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST WORKS TOGETHER WITH OTHER STAFF AS PART OF AN INTERDISCIPLINARY TEAM PROVIDING SERVICES TO CHILDREN WITH PHYSICAL AND/OR COGNITIVE DISABILITIES.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Occupational Therapists
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Other Information

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.  HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.

EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING IN ADULT EDUCATION IS AN ASSET.  PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WITH SENSORY INTEGRATION TRAINING.  PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO INDIVIDUALS WITH PREVIOUS PEDIATRIC EXPERIENCE.  The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member.
