Description

SaskBuilds and Procurement: where infrastructure, procurement, real property, facility management, logistics and information technology meet to enable the Government of Saskatchewans Growth Plan and programs and services for citizens and communities.

The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement, Southern Region, Regina Area, requires a Building Operator for duties in Government buildings located in Regina.

As a member of a service-oriented team, you will be responsible for providing customer comfort and service by ensuring a safe environment to Property Management customers and clients.

You will respond to client inquiries and ensure facilities and equipment are safe and in good operating readiness. You will perform security procedures, maintain stock and supplies, climb ladders, lift and or carry heavy objects, ensure facility and equipment is safe and meets operating standards. You will be responsible for the supervision of other Property Management staff in the building.

You will have the ability to supervise staff, work independently, prioritize work, perform maintenance procedures on buildings and grounds, understand and correctly apply cleaning and maintenance standards, and safely operate and maintain manual and powered cleaning and grounds equipment.

To be successful in this position, you must have a valid Refrigeration Engineer's Certificate and Fireman Boiler Operator Certificate or 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate as well as several years of related experience. Through this experience, you will have comprehensive knowledge of building heating, cooling and ventilation systems, DDC control systems, thorough working knowledge of the WHMIS program, superior interpersonal/public relations skills, experience in working with computer software applications including; Microsoft (Outlook and Word), Archibus, and a valid driver's license.
