Description

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic student activity assistant to join our team and enrich the lives of seniors in our senior living complex. As a student activity assistant, you will play a role in implementing engaging activities to promote socialization, recreation, and overall well-being among our residents/tenants. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

-Assisting in the coordination and execution of daily recreational activities and events for seniors.
-Engaging residents in meaningful conversations and interactions to foster companionship and a sense of community.
-Providing one-on-one support and assistance to residents/tenants during activities as needed.
-Setting up and cleaning up activity areas and ensuring that supplies are well-stocked and readily available.
-Collaborating with other staff members to develop creative and innovative activity programs tailored to the interests and abilities of our residents/tenants.
-Documenting resident/tenant participation and feedback to assess the effectiveness of activity programs and make adjustments as needed.

Requirements:
-Preference given to students enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited college or university
-Genuine passion for working with seniors and improving their quality of life.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with seniors from diverse backgrounds.
-Creative and resourceful with the ability to plan and execute engaging activities.
-Empathetic and patient, with a compassionate approach to caring for seniors.
-Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take direction from senior staff members.
