Description

We are currently seeking a responsible and hardworking Student Groundskeeper to join our team. As a Student Groundskeeper, you will play a vital role in working with our caretaker and maintenance staff to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal of our long term care (LTC) facility (indoor/outdoor). This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain valuable experience in grounds maintenance while contributing to the beauty, safety and functionality for our senior residents.

Requirements:
-Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of our LTC grounds, including mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, and watering.
-Operate lawn care equipment and tools safely and effectively, following all established procedures and guidelines.
-Remove litter and debris from outdoor areas, walkways, and parking lots.
-Assist with landscaping projects, such as planting flowers, shrubs, and trees, and spreading mulch or gravel.
-Perform routine inspections of smoke detectors and indoor/outdoor facilities and report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors.
-Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient completion of work.
-Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing job duties.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Preference given to students enrolled in high school, college, or university.
-Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
-Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
-Attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality results.
-Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
-Valid Drivers license
