Facility: CUMBERLAND HOUSE HEALTH CENTRE
Job Description: The incumbent reports directly to the Manager on matters pertaining to patient care, continuing education, training, operational checks, and maintenance of equipment.
Required Qualifications

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Community Paramedic designation is an asset.
International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) - Basic
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at the PCP/EMT level
Valid Class 4 drivers license

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of Primary Health Care and Community Paramedicine.
- Knowledge of proper application and sue of safety restraints and postural supports.
- Knowledge of safe client movement.
- Knowledge of proper body mechanics.
- Communicating appropriately and effectively.
- Ability to think critically.
- Ability to work cross functionally with multiple disciplines and departments.
- Must have excellent communication skills, written, verbal and non-verbal.
- Physically able to perform the duties of pre-hospital emergency care.
- Travel in inclement weather.
- Heavy lifting and often extreme physical exertion will be required.
- Ability to work in an unpredictable setting, which often includes working with multiple pieces of technology and emergency equipment.
- Knowledge of infection control procedure, recognizing the risk of exposure to illness and disease.  

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA. A vulnerable sector check (VSC) is required for individuals providing patient/resident/client care to vulnera
