Job Summary:
HealthLine 811 is a technology rich, evolving provincial program that offers free, confidential health, mental health & addictions information and supportive telephone advice available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to all residents of Saskatchewan. Current services include health information, service referral, assessment and triage for inbound callers.  HealthLine 811 outbound call service is expanding and new programs are being developed.  HealthLine 811 Registered Nurses work in a team environment with Social Workers and Psychiatric Registered Nurses.

Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate from an approved School of Nursing. Current registration with CRNS (College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan) and current BCLS certification.

Experience:
Recent acute care experience including at least five (5) years clinical experience in areas requiring high levels of independent assessment skills.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Registered Nurses are most successful in their roles at HealthLine 811 when they have working knowledge of computers and strong keyboarding skills. Effective listening, assessment and communication skills are considered an asset in a telephone triage contact centre to assist callers in finding the most appropriate solution for their health concern. Minimum typing speed of 25 wpm.

Additional Information:
All clinician roles at HealthLine 811 are sedentary.   Clinicians need to be ready and available at any time during their shift to assist another caller or patient.  HealthLine 811 is a safe and clean environment.

Scheduled hours of work may be reduced (if applicable) during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period.
