The funding for this position is based on Canada Summer Jobs grant and the successful applicant must be between 15-30 years of age, a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
Reporting to the Manager of Animal Care and Community Engagement and the Director of Development, the Coordinator Assistant supports the Community Engagement team with tasks in all areas of community engagement, fundraising, fostering, volunteering, and customer service. This position work collaboratively with the Adoption Representatives, Adoption Counsellors, Coordinators, and Management
The position has a starting wage of $15.44/hour as per the current Collective Agreement.

Highly organized with superior ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
Exceptional analytical skills, demonstrated sound judgment and tact
Proven ability to work independently and to maintain confidentiality
Ability to utilize data base systems (Chameleon/ Donor Perfect), the Microsoft office suite programs
Ability to work within social media platforms
Accountabilities:
Supporting the Foster and Volunteer Coordinator in maintaining, improving, and growing programs
Supporting the Community Engagement team with data entry and other administrative tasks
Participates as needed in media segments (CTV, Global, Shaw, etc.)
Takes photos and upload them to different social media platforms and softwares
Assist organizing special events with high attention to detail
attend and lead volunteers during third party events
Customer follow ups
Support foster families
Attend staff meetings
Participate in public relations and promotional activities
All other duties as asigned
