Utilities & Bylaw Clerk

Reports to: CAO                             Department: Administration

Classification: Utilities & Bylaw Clerk - Full Time    

Date:     April 30, 2024                        
Job Function:
The Utilities & Bylaw Clerk is a customer service position, reporting directly to the CAO.  The Utilities & Bylaw Clerk is responsible for utility billing process and related duties, processing change of ownership, responding to enquiries from the general public, communication to the public, liaising with other department heads, providing local technical/computer support, responding to enquiries relating to the Cemetery and processing payments.  
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.    Customer Service & Communication
2.    General Office duties
3.    Change of Ownership
4.    Bylaw Enforcement Officer liaison
5.    Water/Utilities Billing
6.    Cemetery
7.Technology
8.Other related duties relevant to the position or assigned by the CAO.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Completion of Grade 12
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    Organizational skills
    Able to work efficiently paying attention to detail and be able to prioritize his/her workload in a busy municipal office.
    Knowledge of municipal government and development processes preferred.
    Sound knowledge and use of computer hardware and software in a Windows platform and knowledge of municipalitys MuniSoft software.
    Team player
    Open to continual growth and development.
    Self-starter and works independently.
