Description

Operate and maintain tandem truck to transport finished goods and raw materials.
Collect, analyze, and verify delivery instructions.
Plan best transportation route options to meet delivery schedules.
Inspect vehicles for all mechanical, electrical and safety issues daily.
Basic maintenance of the loading and unloading conveyors and vehicles operated by the employee.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
Document kilometers in logbook and keep the pre-trip inspections documents up to date.
Comply with all transport and traffic rules and regulations.
Comply with all company policies pertaining to the use of company-owned vehicles.
Report defects, accidents, or violations immediately
Ensure to communicate the work done before end of day.
Daily target is to transport 180 MT of goods in routing 8 hours shift.
Prior experience working in food processing plant operations is considered an asset.
Experience and/or understanding of the grain commodity industry is considered an asset.
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
trong time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
Excellent internal and external customer service
Strong organizational skills
Must be able to work individually and as part of a team.
Valid driver license in a class that permits the license holder to operate Class 1A vehicles.
Current (within one year) clean driving record Must be able to safely lift 23 kgs (50 pounds)
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, squat, and climb ladders and stairs several times a day.
Must be available to work within short notice of time.
Must be able to work in any shift time provided by the manager or supervisor.Must be able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions throughout the year.
CSA approved steel-toed boots.
