Job Summary
Plumber assistant will report to the Public Works Manager.  The Plumber assistant will work as a team member with the Journey person Plumber to maintain a positive relationship with the MFN Membership as you professionally provide residential plumbing diagnostic, repair, and installation services.

Assisting Job Duties
Represent MFN in a professional, courteous and customer service-oriented manner on each call.
On-site problem diagnosis, accurately estimate repair costs, fixed right the first time and continual value-added communication with the residential occupant.
Install, maintain, and repair all types of furnace systems and components.
Install, repair, and maintain underground storm sanitary and water piping and controls.
Install, repair, and maintain sinks, tubs and toilets.
Install, repair, and maintain water heaters and conditioners.
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, appliances, and trim.
Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines.
Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
Perform diagnostics, repair, maintain, service and install equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
Adhere to all safety rules and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.
Maintain all building codes, installation requirements and relevant legislation.
Perform general and specific equipment inspections.
Maintain a list of proper care and maintenance for preventative maintenance.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all modern equipment and regulations.
Other duties as assigned related to the position.
