Executive Director, Taxation and Intergovernmental Affairs

The Taxation and Intergovernmental Affairs Branch, Ministry of Finance provides public policy and budgetary analysis and advice to Treasury Board and Cabinet in the areas of taxation and intergovernmental fiscal relations.

We are seeking an experienced, innovative leader to join a team of professionals as the Executive Director, leading the development of provincial revenue and taxation policy.

Successful applicants will possess:

- A sound understanding and knowledge of current Canadian public policy issues, ideally with an emphasis on economic, fiscal and taxation policy;
- Demonstrated strong leadership and supervisory skills;
- Demonstrated strong research and analytical skills;
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, coupled with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to effectively structure logical and persuasive advice based on available evidence;  
- A Master's degree or equivalent level of education or experience in accounting, law, economics, public administration, or a related discipline; and
- Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and monitoring an annual business plan and budget that supports the delivery of the strategic plan, including experience in resource management, process analysis and setting and communicating a strategic direction for an organization.
