Summary of Position
This is a temporary full time 7.5 hours per day School Liaison position that commences August 26, 2024.  As a School Liaison Worker, you will be responsible for building genuine relationships with students/families and community partners and advocating for those who experience barriers to success in school.

Accountabilities

Enhance relationships between school and home to meet student needs  including home visits
Provide support to students who are experiencing social, emotional and/or behavioural dysregulation
Enhance connections to Indigenous and/or multicultural communities.
Assist in the development and/or implementation of preventative programs and activities for individuals and groups
Build relationships and provide necessary connections with partner organizations to help families access needed resources and/or services
Qualifications

Preference will be given to a candidate with post-secondary training in Social Services, Human Services, Psychology, or Sociology
Equivalent training and experience will be considered
The ability to offer life skills, social skills and anger management programming would be an asset
Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract with access to a reliable vehicle
