The Ministry of Highways, Construction Branch requires a Project Technician within the Construction Delivery office with one spot based out of Saskatoon and the other spot based out of Prince Albert, Saskatoon or Regina.
The Project Technician performs specialized tests on road materials used in highway construction and maintenance. You will assist in design and on-site construction surveys, quantity and quality control when needed. You must also respond to inquiries and complaints from stakeholders such as landowners, municipalities and private contractors encountered while on field assignments.
To qualify for the position, you will typically have experience in roadway design and construction projects OR have a Grade 12, including geometry and trigonometry, various training courses on geophysical test methods, GPS surveying and computer use, plus extensive on-the-job training. You must also possess a valid graduated Saskatchewan driver's license.
