Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at our Saskatoon branch.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Repair and replace hydraulic pumps, safety valves, and any other necessary mechanical components
Perform incidental welding operations on steel and/or aluminum equipment
Diagnose defects in heavy duty equipment and perform required mechanical repairs
Perform repairs & preventative maintenance services on heavy/medium trucks and trailers
Diagnose & troubleshoot mechanical & electrical failures
Ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
Perform shop cleaning & any other required tasks.
Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum level 2 apprentice level required. Will consider other levels and journeypersons.
2-3 years of experience performing service repairs preferred
Proficient and demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, schematics, diagnostics, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of heavy-duty trucks or trailers
Install experience for plow, sanders, dump boxes etc. as asset
Proficient oral and written communication skills
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis
