Description

Nipawin Housing Authority (NHA) manages a property and program services portfolio on behalf of Saskatchewan Housing Corporation. The housing authority provides affordable housing to low-income seniors, families and others who could not otherwise access safe, secure housing within Nipawin and neighboring communities.

What you will do:
Assist potential tenants through the application process
Process housing applications, conduct income reviews, calculate rental fees, and collect rent
Explain leasing agreements and expectations of tenancy
Interact with tenants throughout the tenancy, conduct home visits, work towards resolving any issues that may arise
Investigate lease violations; assist and perform procedures for tenant hearings in conjunction with the Office of the Residential Tenancies
Monitor, maintain contact, and manage record keeping of current/former tenants
Liaise with tenants, families, human service agencies and stakeholders to help make everyday life and the social housing experience safer, healthier and more enjoyable for all tenants
Prepare and monitor banking statements, investigate discrepancies
Maintain office systems and procedures and provide guidance to administrative support

What we are looking for:
exceptional customer relations skills and ability to maintain positive work relationships
ability to problem solve, manage conflict and stressful situations
accountability and ownership of the role with demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills

What you will bring:
Post-secondary in business administration or social services with experience in a property management environment OR an equivalent combination
Valid drivers licence and acceptable Criminal Record Check.
