Description

Provide personal training and recreation assistance to immunocompromised patients in-home, via video call, and/or outdoor/indoor recreation facilities. Successful candidate will bring positive energy and personalized care to individuals who are unable to access traditional fitness facilities. Position available immediately.
Job Duties:
- Assist patients with passive and active stretching.
- Demonstrate proper technique for different exercise techniques including but not limited to pilates, yoga, meditation and breathwork, dynamic stretching, strength training, etc.
- Assist patients with maintaining health and lifestyle journal such as food eaten, activity completed, level of exercise completed, etc.
- Clean and sanitize fitness equipment such as exercise mats.
- Heat and/or portion pre-made food items.
- Assist with therapeutic activities such as application of topical pain relief, paraffin wax treatments, myofascial release, etc.
- Provide mobility support where necessary.  

Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Drivers License.
- Fluent Written and English language skills.
- Must provide criminal record and vulnerable sector check pending offer of employment.

Preference given to candidates with:
- First Aid Certificate.
- CSEP, CanFitPro, or equivalent.
- Active or completed kinesiology or recreational support worker diploma/degree.
