Description

WRT Equipment Ltd. is currently seeking a motivated person for the position of Production Engineer/Technologist. WRT Equipment Ltd. is a manufacturer of high-quality products and components for the aggregate, asphalt and mining industries. We are an ISO: 9001 2015 Quality Management System registered company.

This position reports to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for day-to-day activities within the company including:
Production Control
     o Nesting plates for cutting on CNC plasma table
     o Preparing shop drawing packages with releases records
     o Issuing shop-floor drawings and process instructions
     o Allocating steel to work orders
     o Determining and coordinating sub contracted goods
     o Compiling completed release records for job completion
Estimating  preparation of cost estimates for sales quotes and orders
Ensure that customer requirements, both external and internal, are determined and are met with the aim of enhancing customer satisfaction
Take part in in-process inspections
Quality Assurance  nonconformance data reporting
Compile and print manuals
Technical Assistance  providing advice on cost control and steel availability

Qualifications:
Diploma in CAD/CAM or Mechanical Technology or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
Must hold and maintain a valid class 5 drivers license
Ability to work alone or in a team setting
Ability to take on multiple projects at one time
Ability to take direction and work under little supervision
Organized and prompt with deadlines
Customer service orientated (internal and external customers)
Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Experience:
Industry experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset
