Description

The Recreation Director will be responsible for the customer-focused management of cultural and recreation services in the RM of Key West/Ogema area, along with leadership of full-time, part-time, and seasonal
temporary staff. This is a full-time, year-round permanent position.
Some of the key duties will include:
-Manage and provide leadership for all facilities and staff members.
-Design and implement recreational programs in specified facilities to include both summer and winter recreation programs.
-Assist in the planning, implementation, and analysis of budgets for each facility and recreation program.
-Work with stakeholder committees to establish rules and regulations for recreation programs and
facilities.

Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will possess a degree, diploma or certificate in Recreation Administration or a related field. Previous experience in a municipal recreation setting with facility management and/or staff management is an asset. The candidate must have strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders such as staff, elected officials, community volunteers, and the
general public. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and
working knowledge of various computer programs.
