Facility: Royal University Hospital
Job Description: Reporting to the Manager of Quality Improvement, the Quality Improvement (QI) Specialist, supports strategy development and deployment across SHA (Saskatoon) and system-wide process improvement across SHA. They will provide a lead role in the organization and facilitation of  key  events and processes  such as Hoshin Planning, Visual Management, Replication and Standard Work, Rapid Process Improvement events (RPIW's), Preparation, Planning, Process(3P) events, Kanban, the SHA 5S (creating a clean and well-organized workplace) campaign and Training Within Industry (TWI).  The QI Specialist will be expected to shift responsibilities and accountabilities for core events as needed to meet the changing needs of the organization and satellite QIOs.

This position will support the Quality Improvement team and as such must demonstrate through personal commitment support for the strategies, values, culture and beliefs of the SHA (Saskatoon) and the strategic and operating plans.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Commerce or related field
Experience
Three years of successful employment and leadership in increasingly challenging positions.
Experience with project management applications such as Microsoft Project and advanced level Excel are an asset.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Demonstrated excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills
Intermediate computer skills, where required by the job
