Muscowpetung Education Centre (MEC) is a Pre-K to Grade 12 education facility located in Muscowpetung First Nation. Our school is home to approximately 100 students and 20 educational staff. The principal reports directly to the Director of Education. In keeping with the community vision, the principal of the school is instrumental in sustaining a climate of support, success, achievement and high expectations for students and staff.

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with administrative duties including: Student management, staff supervision, instructional leadership, behavioral modification, and other assigned duties.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required and a background in First Nations Education will be considered an asset. As a leader of a First Nations school, the Principal will be expected to encourage and ensure that the local cultural traditions, teachings, and practices are a part of the education program.  The Principal will be a leader of behavioral modification for the school and will be expected to lead, foster, encourage, and support improvement of the education program of Muscowpetung.
