The Resource Specialist collects, enters, and maintains information on social services in Saskatchewan for United Way 211 Saskatchewans community information database and its derived products. Working as a team with the Manager of 211 Saskatchewan, other Resource Specialists and further positions as needed, the successful candidate will support and promote the United Way vision for 211 Saskatchewan by actively helping to identify new opportunities to strengthen 211 Saskatchewans position as a leader in providing community navigation and data analysis services. The Resource Specialist may be involved in outreach activities to raise awareness of 211 Saskatchewan.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
-Contributes to departmental planning, develops goals & targets for the year through the annual work plan & is accountable for achievement of targets relating to 211 Saskatchewan
-Learns the Inform USA standards, and attains & maintains Inform USA Resource Specialist certification when eligible
-Maintains 211 Saskatchewans community services information database, meeting critical verification targets
-Enters & follows up on database tickets & public feedback as required
-Remains informed about community services in the province of Saskatchewan
-Contributes to the preparation of reports, proposals, correspondence, statistics, & documentation of resources & publications procedures as required
-Updates content on the 211 Saskatchewan website as required
-Conducts outreach including: presentations, training workshops, webinars, & promotion related to the 211 Saskatchewan database, website & services
