As a member of the Maintenance Engineering team, you will report to the Chief Engineer, Maintenance at the McArthur River Operation.
In this role, you will:
-Provide electrical engineering technical & troubleshooting support to mine maintenance & operation team on a regular basis.
-Perform electrical system failure investigations & provide recommendations as required to improve reliability of electrical infrastructure & equipment. This may include developing standard work instruction or operating procedures or managing electrical drawing updates etc.
-Prepare key electrical engineering project documents including scope, plans, high level cost estimate, drawings, specifications, data sheets, bid and other construction documents to manage the electrical engineering improvement & sustaining projects
-Provide technical oversight for work completed by external engineering consultants & Cameco electrical engineering technical services team when required.
-Responsible for ensuring that the design work is done in accordance with Camecos processes, procedures, standards and regulatory requirements.
-Be required to multitask and prioritize including taking initiative to independently drive projects forward from electrical engineering & project management prospective.
-Coordinate and provide technical support to the construction management team as a subject matter prospective
-Provide support to annual electrical maintenance & electrical contractors as required including planning & execution strategy.
Required:
-Bachelors degree in electrical engineering
-4 to 8 years of experience in the field of maintenance & improvement of electrical system or infrastructures in a production environment. Preferably, underground & surface mining operations.
